Dr. Chris Oduneye is a seasoned investment banking leader with over two decades of experience in global capital markets, spanning trading, structuring, sales, and risk management. He has held senior executive roles including Global Head of Credit Trading, Global Head of Structuring, Global Head of Solutions Trading, Global Head of Credit Solutions, and Asia Regional Head of Capital Markets.

Throughout his career, Dr. Oduneye has specialized in delivering innovative financial solutions to emerging market institutions—enhancing their capital structures, strengthening balance sheets, and unlocking new revenue opportunities. Today, he is equally focused on the transformative role of artificial intelligence in reshaping investment banking—leveraging AI to optimize risk management, streamline deal execution, and uncover new frontiers in financial innovation.

As a strategic investor, Dr. Oduneye deploys capital across the full company lifecycle—from early-stage startups to pre-IPO ventures and publicly listed companies. His investment thesis centers on critical infrastructure in Africa, including technology and information systems, AI-driven financial services, healthcare, education, agriculture, trade and logistics. Dr. Oduneye earned his PhD in Financial Mathematics from Imperial College London. He also holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, graduating with distinction and receiving the academic title of Scholar in the prestigious Part III of the Mathematical Tripos, and a First-Class Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Imperial College London.
